It’s nice to know that things I find funny are funny to others as well. oMovies.com has decided to put together a mashup video to my parody of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl.” It includes YouTube users and fans kissing their dogs to my soundtrack of “I Kissed a Dog”AND has my video spliced in. Thank you so much, oMovies, for creating this piece and creating more fans of my work!
Also, thanks to YouTube for promoting it on their rotating lineup on the front page!
I couldn’t have asked for greater fans & support!
In other news, “I Kissed a Dog” will soon be airing on Channel [V] Taiwan, a trend-setting music channel that features the latest chart-topping music videos, large-scale music events and compelling original programmes. It has a huge youth audience and is available in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and the U.S. They will be doing a feature of Katy Perry, and thought my parody was “brilliant”, so they want to use it for their piece! Hopefully I can get some footage of them airing it. If I do, I’ll blog about it (of course).
I’m so excited about the season premiere of this show tonight!! 10pm! I’ve been following this show for a few years now, and feel that it deserves a plug. EVERYONE WATCH, TIVO, or BUY it!! I could tell you all the reasons why I love this show, but I’ll let you decide for yourself.
Viddler is silly… just silly. I logged on and it told me “Leggyblonde is now your friend.” Um, I’m Leggyblonde, and I’m pretty sure I’d NEVER ask myself to be friends. That girl is just way too kooky!!
So, this week was the premiere of 90210, the remake of the 90’s teen drama Beverly Hills 90210. While I’m usually geekily enthusiastic about these type of O.C.GossipTreeHillCreek shows, this one was a dud. I was desperately trying to like it, but sometimes things just weren’t meant to be. There were some good, interesting actors on the show, but for the most part it was just a bunch of emaciated hotties forcing chemistry and overacting. ARG! I wanted so much to like you!
First of all, the lead girl bothered me with all the facial acting. Secondly, the writing = FAIL! I found it hilarious how convenient and predictable some of the scenes were. “Oh, I found a matchbook that has San Francisco written on it, so the logical conclusion is that my daughter hopped a jet and went there!” WHAT?! How does anyone arrive at that? My first thought would have been, she found them or a friend gave them to her. ARG! Logic. Where is it?
But, despite the big let-down, I’m giving 90210 another chance. Two more episodes-TOPS!, and if they can’t pick the show up out of the shitter, then I give up. I’m such a nice person, aren’t I?
Just got back from the New Media Expo in Vegas. Had a rockin good time and met some fun people. The crew from Viddler were so welcoming! They’ve got a lot of new crazy stuff in the works, so be on the lookout, kids! I didn’t get any footage, since I don’t own a video camera (does anyone wanna help me out with that?). And, I didn’t take any pictures cuz I figured my other blogger friends would take enough :). But, the memories and good times were enough.
I unfortunately didn’t get as much time there as I would have liked, though. I missed Gary Vaynerchuk’s keynote on Thursday :(. I had a few hours to cruise the exhibition floor, visiting the Ustream, Seesmic, Videojug, Mogulus and Tubmogul booths. But, I did get to see a hilarious performance from Jonathan Coulton at the Coverville concert, spent some time by the pool after the expo, and played a little craps at the casino (winning $135!). Bubba got to come too, but he had to stay at my friend’s house while I frolicked about. I’m probably going to the next podcamp meet-up to hang with these fun peeps some more!
